AIR STONES: Aeration stones are commonly called air-stones, discs, bubblers or diffusers and come in many shapes, sizes, colours and coarseness levels. These are usually made of lime-wood or a porous stone and its main purpose is to gradually diffuse micro air bubbles through the water with the help of an aeration pump and tubes. Air stones do not directly dissolve oxygen into the water; instead, these air stones increase the surface area so that the more water comes in contact with the air at the top of the biofloc fish tank. This allows a greater volume of water to release carbon dioxide and take in oxygen.

AIR STONE PIPE
